I'm constantly telling you how important routine exercise is to your health and how so many of your health problems will improve or even disappear as the result of a consistent exercise program.
So why do I continue to give you the same lecture?
I know, I know. Sometimes I sound like a broken record.
I'm constantly telling you how important routine exercise is to your health and how so many of your health problems will improve or even disappear as the result of a consistent exercise program. So why do I continue to give you the same lecture? Because I’ve seen exercise improve lives. I’ve seen exercise completely change lives. I’ve even seen exercise save lives. If you're still on the fence or waiting for the "perfect" time to start your exercise program, I hope one of the repetitions or different variations of this topic will stick with you and motivate you to change your life as well! Here are the Top 4 Health Improvement Factors that come as a result of challenging, consistent exercise: 1. Your energy levels boost and you feel great. I have noticed that most people don’t realize how bad they feel. They get used to feeling bad. However, when they start exercising they feel so much better. Your energy levels soar and you feel excited about life again. There have been numerous studies that verify this energetic effect of exercising. While it may be tough to get started when you are overweight and out of shape, you don't have to start out with a lot off exercising to start receiving the benefits. Just do a little more than yesterday, and the benefits will gradually increase as your exercise does! 2. Your muscles and joints feel better than ever. You’ll notice a reduction in aches and pains once you’ve been sticking with an exercise program for a few weeks. That chronic muscle and joint pain that you’ve lived with for years may begin to fade. For some, joint replacement surgery is postponed. For others, arthritis pain is reduced. Although it might seem that exercise would aggravate aching joints, studies from Harvard show that exercises performed properly can actually help relieve joint pain in multiple ways. 3. Your risk of heart attack or stroke is reduced. I like to remind my clients of this one, since it’s not something they can physically feel, but it’s the one that saves lives! Exercise has the power to remove two of the major risk factors that lead to heart disease: 1) physical inactivity and 2) obesity. Exercise also increases your good cholesterol (HDL) and lowers your blood pressure. Studies have shown that it doesn't matter what kind of exercising you do as any form isa good for your heart. So pick your favorite and get going! They have also found that exercise doesn't discriminate! It is beneficial for people young and...those that have gotten better with age! 4. Your blood sugar levels are better controlled. Clients of mine with type 2 diabetes see substantial benefits from exercise. Exercise improves the body’s use of insulin, and the related weight loss improves insulin sensitivity. For many, exercise becomes the natural, permanent antidote to their type 2 diabetes. As you can see, there are SO MANY benefits to exercise, why would anyone avoid doing it?! Typically it comes down to excuses.
If I forget an excuse you like to use, let me know what it is over here and I will see what I can do to dispel that as well :) If you need any help getting started, call or email me today and I’ll show you the fastest and safest way to reap all of the benefits of exercise. It’s your time to start enjoying all the benefits of exercise. I know you can do it! Let’s do this! Dedicated To Making Healthy Your Habit, Mychael
