What We Could Learn From Kids
Barcelona's youth soccer team recently won the U-12 Junior Soccer World Challenge. However, their actions in winning have defined them as true gentleman. Perhaps as adults, we should pay attention to this kindness and learn from them.
After the final whistle blew, the elated team of the Barcelona U-12 team, "Infantil B", stormed the field to celebrate their 1-0 win over their rivals from Japan, Omiya Ardija. As you may expect, the players on Omiya Ardija were heartbroken, and many broke down into tears after the loss.
Within seconds of their great accomplishment and celebration, the amazing young men of the Infantil B squad recognized the agony of their competitors, and ceased their celebrations to console the opposing team with hugs and words of encouragement.
While generally we think and assume that kids should be learning from adults, perhaps we as adults should take this opportunity to learn from these young kids who acted so compassionately and selflessly during their time of celebration.
